Who we can help/ who we can support?

All the people that we support are unique and require specially tailored care. We look after people with a wide range of different needs; some of our clients have physical disabilities or have learning disabilities. We then providing our golden oldie clients with continued care and support to help them maintain their ongoing independence within their own homes.

We provide

The services that we provide to our learning disabilities clients vary from round the clock care, rest bite support, one-to-one support, and double-ups to enable all our clients to access and become part of their wider community. Enjoy all the varied activities they wish to undertake, ranging from accompanying our clients to various day services, community-based activities, work placements, training courses and day trips as well as holidays.

Day to Day assistance

We also assist our clients with all their general day to day activities when running their own homes. From menu planning to shopping for all the ingredients and other household items, shopping trips for clothing and household goods etc, to ongoing support with their daily household chores and supporting them to pay their utility bills.

We can also assist all our clients with all relevant information on things ranging from benefits, employment to different educational courses that they may wish to undertake, assistance and guidance with benefits, and any changes that may occur.

All the services we provide are specially tailored to each individual client so that they are to gleam the most out of life.

Our company’s main aim is to promote inclusion for all our clients; we want to support everyone to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life with our ongoing support and assistance.

We aim to allow all our clients to live an inclusive and meaningful life by assisting them to become/remain independent.

Alzheimer’s Care Service

We fully understand all day to day challenges of caring for a family member with Alzheimer’s. Sadly, yet there is not a cure for Alzheimer disease or dementia, with specialist care we can help provide your family member with dignity respect and the highest quality of life.

All the care we offer is specifically tailored to your family members current abilities, we will continue to update and adapt their care plan as and when the disease progresses and their ongoing needs change.

Arranging to care with their own home will enable your family member to stay in their familiar surroundings enabling them to feel safe and secure within the privacy of their own home.

Dementia Care Service

As a company we understand the importance of supporting all those living with and affected by dementia to help ensure they maintain the highest quality of life.

Continuing to live within their own home can help towards reducing the severity of their symptoms such as their anxiety and depression we will tailor make their care plan to help maintain their dignity and independence within their own home.

All our staff have been fully trained and have full experience with supporting people with all types of dementia:

  • Frontotemporal disease
  • Mixed dementia
  • Lewy body disease
  • Alzheimer’s disease

Palliative Care

The end of life care we offer helps allow people to live within their own homes helping them to maintain their choices and privacy this will enable them to pass away with dignity surrounded by their loved ones in the comfort of their own home.

We offer a person-centred care plan which will reflect their wishes and the families to enable them to live out their last week’s/months in the comfort of their own home.

Personal Care

Personal care is a broad term that we use to refer to supporting individuals with their personal hygiene and toileting along with dressing and helping to maintaining your appearance.

We will cover:

  • Showering, bathing, including bed-baths
  • Applying lotions and creams as required
  • Foot care, filing of nails and diabetic checks
  • Oral hygiene
  • Dressing for the day and getting ready for bed
  • Hair care and applying makeup also support with shaving
  • Assisting to the toilet, including emptying and cleaning of commodes and bed pans etc
  • Assistance with changing incontinence pads, along with cleaning intimate areas
  • Changing or maintaining of stoma and catheter bags or other clinical intervention

Each one of our support workers has been fully trained to provide personal care in a way that is discreet and respectful of personal boundaries.

Day_Centre

Day Centre

PNS Family Care Services provides an elderly day centre in Elmswell, Suffolk, where you can participate in various activities, socialise and meet new people in a safe and secure environment.

We are open every Monday from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm, and you are free to come and go as you please.

Activities include various board games, card making, bingo, jewellery making, floristry, watching movies and many more. Whilst we encourage everyone to participate in all the activities, how you choose to spend your time at the centre is entirely up to you.

We also provide hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, sandwiches and soup.

Our well-trained, friendly staff will ensure you receive the help and support you need to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
